    <description><![CDATA[<p>The Communications &amp; Volunteer Coordinator supports AFNet's Community Foster Family Engagement Initiative through direct community outreach, foster family recruitment, communications, and volunteer coordination.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct in-person community outreach and engage prospective foster families.</li><li>Share foster care information and connect interested families to appropriate referral pathways.</li><li>Assist with community conversations, informational sessions, recruitment events, and other outreach activities.</li><li>Develop and distribute project communications, including flyers, outreach messages, social media content, and recruitment materials.</li><li>Recruit, coordinate, schedule, and communicate with project volunteers.</li><li>Support volunteer participation in community outreach and project events.</li><li>Follow up with individuals who express interest in becoming foster families.</li><li>Maintain records of foster care inquiries, outreach activities, communications, and volunteer participation.</li><li>Work collaboratively with the project team to achieve foster family recruitment and community engagement goals.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.</li><li>High school diploma/GED</li><li>Experience in community outreach, communications, volunteer coordination, or related work preferred.</li><li>Comfortable conducting direct, in-person community outreach.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and families.</li><li>Familiarity with social media, email, and basic computer applications.</li><li>Reliable, professional, and able to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Ability to travel locally throughout Franklin County for outreach and project activities.</li><li>US work authorization</li><li>Driver's license</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Status:</strong></p><p> This is a temporary, grant-funded, part-time position expected to continue through June 30, 2027. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding, project needs, and satisfactory performance.</p><p><br></p>]]></description>
